Our August D&D is set! Sunday, Aug 20, we’ll take a road trip along the Hudson River, over the Champlain Bridge and into the charming Vermont city of Vergennes. The folks at Restoration & Performance Motorcars (RPM) will be opening their doors to us for a tour of their collection and restoration work (www.rpmvt.com). Following the tour, we’ll head over to the Hired Hand Brewery for lunch (www.hiredhandbrewing.com). The food is excellent (you’ve gotta try the onion rings made using a pretzel batter!) and we have the entire place reserved for our group. The plan is to meet by 8:30 am, at the Burger King (at Route 146 and US 9), off Northway Exit 9 (Clifton Park/Halfmoon), then depart promptly at 8:45 am. We’ll then make our way along Route 146, then north via US 4 and Route 22, passing through several small villages and hamlets along the way. It’s a beautiful 2.5 hour drive from Clifton Park to Vergennes, so I hope you’ll join us!
Note: For those already living in the North Country and would like to meet up, you can join us at the McDonald’s in Ticonderoga between 10:15 and 10:30 am, then we will proceed on to our destination.
